यं हि न व्यथयन्त्येते पुरुषं पुरुषर्षभ। समदु:खसुखम् धीरंसोअमृतत्वाय कल्पते।
Srimadbhagvadgita(chapter 2, 15th shloka)
Meaning:- The wise person to whom pain and pleasure are alike, and who is not tormented by these contacts, becomes eligible for immortality.

Explanation:- lord Krishna tells Arjun that one should ignore the feelings of pain and pleasure in order to attain immortality since these feelings are born because of the contact between senses and their objects and make one feel good or bad, but the wise man does not respond much and remains same in both.
Therefore we should rather concentrate on the permanent happiness ; Lord Krishna’s name.
